I penned another one w/ Nashville songwriter, Bill Whyte, who like me, is a Missouri native.  Naturally, he knew what he was talking about when we collaborated on these lyrics, which were a lot of fun to write!  I actually do love all the seasons of the year - even winter - as long as I'm dressed for the elements.  But sometimes, when I'm so over being cold every time I step outside,  I kinda just wish I were dipping my toes in the sand instead of snow, right?!  Thanks for stopping in - I hope you'll enjoy "Ain't No Ocean In Missouri" and check out some more of my music while you're here.

Tybee Island is a tiny, magical place off the coast of Savannah, Georgia. Will introduced it to me a couple of years ago, and I immediately fell in love. The setting is so tranquil: tall sea oats sway in the breeze, insisting that you forget your troubles for awhile and relax. The lights from local fishing boats and nearby Hilton Head and Daufuskie Islands dot the horizon at night. From the best ice cream in the world at The Sugar Shack, to my husband’s favorite breakfast at Sunrise Restaurant (try the Hashbrown Deluxe), Tybee Island is a place you come back to again and again, whether you’re really there or not.
